New Blood Entry — Genie

In our current age of short-termism, we aspired to create a game that promotes long-term thinking in our players! Genie is a puzzle platformer that explores the interconnection of generations & creates moments for the player to consider the well-being of their character, the world it sits in and how their actions might impact their future. In the game, you play as a line of descendants, and are presented with interconnected puzzles to solve. Therefore, Genie features a time jump mechanic that allows characters to dive into previous levels to solve problems that require changing their actions in the past. Through this mechanic, we hope to foster a sense of agency in players & show how even one small action can have a ripple effect on our future shared universe.
