New Blood Entry — Emancipated

Two vignettes – stories about a Central Asian runaway guest-worker and gang of gopniks – that deal with some of the important social issues of contemporary Russia. By appropriating biblical narrative and mythological imagery we tried to reinforce the timeless universality of each story and its versatility. This work pretends to be the ultimate manifesto for a new class of young emancipated Russians – free of oppression, marginalization, and domination – but still struggling to survive. Music by Pixelord, one of the key figures driving Russian electronic music forward on the international scene.
