The Māori Roll Call

The Māori Roll Call transformed a complex electoral enrolment process into a visible act of identity and collective action. At a time when Māori rights and representation were under renewed threat, the campaign reframed joining the Māori electoral roll as something shared, proud, and meaningful. By publicly calling the names of real Māori voters, the work turned enrolment into a growing movement that strengthened Māori participation and directly increased representation in Parliament.
