For Spotify’s listeners, music isn’t just another form of entertainment; it’s an essential part of everyday life. So as the year came to a close, we were tasked with creating a recap with unique insights and value to our loyal subscribers.

The Spotify Year in Music combined data and design to take over 5 million people on an instant nostalgia trip. What was their first song of the year? How did their seasons unfold? And which track got stuck in their head the most?

Be it through laughter or tears, over 5 million consumers relieved 2015 through the lens of the music they’d loved.
