IKEA asked us to promote its discounted products and motivate the target group to visit the online store. Our solution was to create banners that can be assembled by the web user. For the first time visitors could experience online what they knew from IKEA offline: saving money by assembling something themselves. Each of the three banners showed the Ikea flatpack containing all the parts along with assembly instructions for putting it together. Once the assembly was completed, the price of the item dropped and the visitor could go to buy it directly from the IKEA online store.
