Unmasked
Graphite Pencil / Magazine & Newspaper Design / Magazine Front Covers / 2010
Chris Ware is one of today’s most respected graphic novelists. His work has received literary prizes and has been the subject of numerous museum shows. In Unmasked, published for Halloween, Ware depicts worlds in collision with his trademark concision. A cloud of white dots on the left are the faces of children, radiating eagerness and expectation; white dots onthe right are the faces of their waiting parents, lit by the handhelds in which they are absorbed.
