Landor’s challenge was to create a brand for News Limited that would drive employee, supplier and public action on climate change. The assignment required us to develop the brand’s strategic positioning, naming, identity design and implementation across launch collateral, guidelines, posters, advertisements and merchandise. The resulting One Degree brand works as an overarching umbrella that inspires people to make long-term changes through an engaging message and positive tone, and is based on a simple premise: if everyone changes his or her behaviour by just one degree, we can change the future of the planet. The visual language uses employees as the focus for communications, echoing the logo and encapsulating the real impact an individual can make in addressing climate change.
