Pace of Life

Award: Wood Pencil

Wood Pencil / TV & Cinema Crafts / Cinematography / 2006

In a strange world, where each person moves in an odd way, a young guy goes to the local shop to get some milk for his cereal. Along the way he encounters other inhabitants of the neighbourhood, including his elderly Chinese neighbour and a pair of squirrels. Each person and creature he meets moves at their own pace, and with their own style. In the shop, the young guy drops the milk and is surprised by the sudden arrival of his neighbour, who has accelerated from her usual ultra-slow speed to catch the falling milk carton. Sony PlayStation, for every pace of life.
