Date Rape Awareness Umbrella
Graphite Pencil / Ambient / PR & Creative Stunts / 2006
Even the best drug-rape awareness campaigns in magazines and on TV are all too easily forgotten once you have got a glass in your hand. Drinkers were targeted whilst they were out for the night, just as in the case of an attack. Cocktail umbrellas were placed into people's drinks when they were not paying attention. When they looked back they found a cocktail umbrella with a drug-rape warning in their glass, which reads, 'This is how easy it is to spike your drink.' The umbrella therefore acted both as a warning and as a practical demonstration of just how easy it is to become a victim of drug-rape.
