This idea came about as one of our grandmother's washing machine needed repairing. This was because her washing loads were too small - instead of big full loads she would just fling granddad's long johns in for a spin! We also considered the social benefit of community washing. We tried it out in a local village, they said that it would be something they would consider doing in the future.
