Shared mailboxes

To break the barriers that keep people locked out of opportunities, giffgaff and Big Issue redesigned the everyday mailbox with two secure openings. By replacing the front panel with the redesigned one, a single address can now be shared by two people. It provides someone living in poverty with a reliable mailing address, as well as a refurbished phone and online access. Through a national campaign, people willing to help are invited to share their address. Once a volunteer is matched with someone living in poverty, the redesigned panel is installed, giving that person a pathway back into society.
