Weight of Pain

Weight of Pain

Weight of Pain is a social project by the Agency for Social Protection that exposed how violence against children had become normalized and invisible in Uzbek society and even in the eyes of the law. Based on three real stories, a short film showed children silently carrying heavy backpacks shaped like homes, schools, and kindergartens — places meant to protect children, but where violence had become the norm. By turning fear and pain into physical weight, the project made hidden violence visible and impossible to ignore.
