Voice of Food

For generations, recipes have been designed for sight — excluding those without it. This project redesigned recipes around sound, enabling visually impaired people to cook independently. By replacing visual cues with real cooking sounds, it restored not only access to cooking, but also confidence, autonomy, and dignity. Co-created with Miki, a blind home cook, the project also created new roles within the community — evolving her from user to instructor, and demonstrating how accessibility can enable participation, leadership, and inclusion.
