The Period Uniform

The Period Uniform is the first school uniform to include period underwear. Led by Colombian intimate care brand Somos Martina, the initiative integrates period protection directly into mandatory school uniforms. By using existing infrastructure, it turns menstrual care into a standard rather than an exception. This reduces stigma, prevents absenteeism, and helps secure equal access to education for girls across Colombia.This removes the stigma that often leads to absenteeism and secures equal access to education.
