With this campaign, IKEA leaned into this cultural appetite for brutal honesty, by telling real and emotional stories that reflected the true highs and lows of life. From infertility to widowers, picky toddlers and worried parents, the campaign tapped into deeply human experiences. Instead of hiding behind glossy catalogues, IKEA presented itself as a brand that is present through every part of life. By letting the stories “grow” visually from one product to another, the campaign revealed that IKEA products are not just affordable items, but play a natural part in all of life’s moments.
