Burberry 'Open Spaces'

Burberry's Open Spaces campaign needed complex visual effects and photoreal CG to bring the gravity-defying film to life. The two key sequences required extensive photogrammetry and CG scenery, which allowed the cast and the garments to float weightlessly through British countryside and into the skies.

I feel the composition is scored well to the picture. The use of synths and strings combined together creates this sense of flying through the sky. It takes you on the journey, which is achieved in a subtle, modern yet classical way. The minimalism of the sound design and subtle signature sounds that are heard amongst the score all contribute to a well-thought-out arrangement.
