In Canada, a woman is killed by gender-based violence every 48 hours. So we created Too True Crime—a podcast with an episode for every woman killed by gender-based violence in Canada since 2020. 614 episodes in total were released, drawing attention to the need for systemic change to protect women facing violence. And as more women were killed, more episodes were released within two weeks of each confirmed murder.
