The Branch Museum of Design Visual Identity
The Branch Museum of Design Visual Identity
The Branch Museum of Design reintroduced itself by rethinking what a museum brand could be. Formerly architecture-focused, it became Virginia’s only museum of design—requiring an identity with a sharper point of view. Built from the museum’s 1919 Tudor Revival home by John Russell Pope, the new design system draws directly from the building’s blueprints. Three gables form a sculpted “B” that rotates into a house, signaling a shift in perspective. Architecture becomes brand logic, extended across visual and sonic identity, creating a flexible frame that elevates design without overpowering it.
