Columbia takes the design and testing of every piece of clothing seriously, so we set out to prove its gear is “Engineered for Whatever.” In a branded series, we put items through comically extreme tests: a ski jacket tested by strapping a stunt performer to a snow plough; a puffer jacket by sealing someone in a freezing snowball and sending them downhill; and hiking pants by turning them into a rope to suspend a man over an alligator-filled ravine.
