dOCUMENTA (13)

dOCUMENTA (13) was an event organised by the Museum Fredericianum. We designed a flexible visual grammar, a non-identity, which does not rely on the repetition of a single graphic element, but fixes a ‘rule’ for writing the word itself. A series of 13 non-logos has been designed, but any combination is possible following three simple instructions: the ‘d’ is always written in lowercase, while the rest of the letters are uppercase; the word ‘dOCUMENTA’ is followed by ‘13’ in brackets; and any font in black is allowed.
