Sex & Cancer

Over a third of women are given no information about how cancer will affect their sex life. Even though up to 90% of patients experience sexual side effects. Community charity GirlVsCancer set out to break not one but two huge taboos around both cancer, and women’s sexuality. The films were created in collaboration with three women who’ve experienced cancer. We held a series of writing sessions with them to craft their personal experiences into powerfully defiant monologues. We worked with an all-female team, intimacy coordinator, and consulted closely with the cancer community.
