iPhone: R.I.P. Leon
iPhone: R.I.P. Leon
To introduce the new 'unsend a text' feature for iPhone, Apple enlisted the acting chops of Leon the lizard, who plays the role of a dead lizard, while his entrusted guardian frets over the lizard's apparent demise. In the background, the slowed chords of Alive by Hanni El Khatib accentuate the guardian’s anxiety as he texts the fatal news. Then, as if waking from the dead, Leon spins over, a moment complemented by the song's lyrics: 'I can’t believe I’m alive, spun around, flipped upside down, I’m alive'. The message is quickly unsent, and Leon the lizard lives on.
