Design Academy Eindhoven, one of the world’s foremost design schools, required a new visual identity to reflect its inclusive, progressive and dynamic nature. The idea behind the bold graphic signature began with the ‘E’ of Eindhoven, and was conceived to be customised by students and staff. By hand writing the words ‘Design Academy Eindhoven’ within the three blank bars, there are infinite permutations of the logo. In addition, users are also invited to employ different messages or slogans depending on context, for example, ‘Kiss the Future’ and ‘Dare to Dream’.
