House of Cards
House of Cards
In 2008 homeless charity Shelter launched the House of Cards campaign to raise awareness of housing insecurity in the UK. Following the success of the campaign, Leo Burnett London developed the idea to invite 53 artists to design a set of playing cards. Artists included Damien Hirst and Marc Quinn, among others. Pentagram created an identity for the event, as well as a catalogue and limited edition box of A5 playing cards. Domenic Lippa and designer Jeremy Kunze developed a logotype that played on the symbol ‘H’, combining pictograms of the suits from the cards and a pictogram of a house.
