D&AD Make Your Mark 'It Starts With YOU' is my campaign to land a dream job at Tinder’s marketing team by flipping self-promotion on its head. Inspired by dating insights, I’m meeting Tinder where they are, making it all about them while displaying my love for the brand publicly. Data shows the word ‘I’ appears 24% more than ‘You’ in Tinder chats, proof that people focus too much on themselves. From a PR stunt outside Tinder HQ to a hyperlocal Tinder profile, Instagram content that demonstrates my skillset, and a strategic approach to build salience via LinkedIn, my every move is designed to spark curiosity, build credibility, and drive action. Because in dating, and job hunting: real connections don’t start with I. They start with YOU.
