ACKO’s “Tailor Test” reimagined the waist-to-hip ratio as a grassroots diagnostic tool, using body measurements to trigger early heart risk alerts. ACKO tapped into a dataset hidden in plain sight- tailor-held measurements spanning geographies, income groups, and generations. Using WHO-approved charts, tailors identified at-risk individuals before symptoms appeared, comparing current and past records to flag worsening patterns. ACKO turned a clinical metric into a street-level intervention, with tailors as frontline health messengers reaching people no campaign or doctor could.
