Hyakuyozu - Unfolding Patterns of A Hundred Wonders: Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Stores

Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Store, a Japanese department store. Daimaru was founded in 1717, Matsuzakaya in 1611. They merged their operations in 2007, and Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Store was born in 2010. To introduce the newly developed visual identity “Hyakuyozu” in July 2025, we created a website. “Hyakuyozu” is a pattern created by overlapping five sheets of paper and moving them by hand.
