Ek Tara Project

1 in 5 Indian school children suffer from blurry vision. They go on with life thinking their poor vision is normal. As a result, these issues remain undetected and is felt most in non-urban India. Inspired by an ancient method used to test hunters’ eyesight using the stars, we created the Ek Tara Test. A simple, glow-in-the-dark star spotting aid, that helps children match the dots on the card to the Great Bear constellation and count the number of stars they see in the given circle. If they saw two stars, they have clear vision. If they saw one star, they have blurry vision.
