Abolish §219a
Abolish §219a
Since 1933, Paragraph 219a has prohibited doctors in Germany from providing public information about abortion methods and the risks involved. But there was one loophole: this law only applied to doctors. The campaign turned non-doctors into ambassadors while encouraging others to do the same, starting a nationwide movement. With over 530,000 engagements and a staggering estimated reach of 6.7 billion people, there was so much momentum that the government announced it was going to abolish Paragraph 219a.
