To help the Danes reconnect with their loved ones, Internet provider, WAOO, created a virtual hitman service called ‘Love Squad’. 5 pro-gamers could be hired to assassinate your gaming obsessed partner in either GTA5, Fortnite, Call of Duty and Counter Strike - all in the name of love. Love Squad was a humorous reminder for couples to be present outside of the “maps”. It was an engaging and relevant service, relatable for gamers and non-gamers alike. A service that leveraged a vital cultural insight and drove awareness and fame, with relevance and engagement as key attractiveness pillars.
