25 Years in Search

Google's annual Year in Search reflects on the year’s biggest trends. But in 2023, Google Search turned 25, so we celebrated the occasion by taking people back in time to relive the Most Searched people, movements and moments of the last quarter century. Every part of the campaign was fueled by 25 years of Search data: including an epic film honoring 25 years of global progress, social content for the internet's biggest fandoms from SpongeBob stans to the BTS ARMY, and an interactive Google Doodle scavenger hunt including hidden surprises for fans of the most searched songwriter, Taylor Swift.
