Serres De Rue

To explore sustainable ways of using urban land, Serres de rue transformed car shelters into passive solar greenhouses and installed them directly on the roads of Montreal. Serres de rue, which means 'street greenhouses' in French, not only explores the possibility of growing fresh produce during winter months in a densely populated neighbourhood – it forces us to reimagine the place of cars in our cities.
