Cash In Cash Out came about at the start of the pandemic in 2020 when all live action production came to a halt. In order to make something spectacular, François Rousselet came up with an approach that only used CG. While the content was to be generated entirely in CG, François wanted the audience to question if it had actually been made and shot for real. 3D characters based on Pharrell Williams, Tyler, the Creator, and 21 Savage perform Cash In Cash Out on a CG-animated zoetrope that spins endlessly. The characters saunter on the spot in a world filled with money and fast cars.
