Royal Mail – Pride

NB Studio was asked to create a set of eight special release stamps for Royal Mail to mark the 50th anniversary of the UK’s first Pride rally. To realise the idea, named A March Through Time, the studio worked with queer British artist Sofie Birkin, whose joyous, free-flowing illustrations were a fitting tribute to five decades of Pride, from its origins in protest to its celebratory present. In a first for Royal Mail, the stamps featured a non-heterosexual couple kissing.
