In July 2021, Cheetos, adidas and global megastar Bad Bunny were about to drop an exclusive fashion line. But with resellers and bots everywhere on the internet, Cheetos wanted to make sure that the new collection got into the hands of its true fans. So it launched its own technology that would detect real Cheetos fans by picking up the orange Cheetos dust on people's fingers. To access the new collection, fans needed to show their orange fingers to the camera on any device – something shopping bots simply can't do.
