Move United, the nation’s leading adaptive sports organisation, has over 200 local chapters that facilitate events and classes for adaptive athletes. When Covid-19 hit, it had to rethink how to engage a community of over 100,000 athletes. Within two weeks, Move United developed Adapt at Home, a programme that enabled people to stay healthy and exercise at home. For those most in need, Move United sent a free kit with equipment that allowed them to exercise safely in their own homes. Additionally, they created 1,000 online courses to help the 250,000 participants further connect and engage.
