Wendy’s is primarily known for its sassy brand voice, and it’s core differentiator: fresh, never frozen beef. So when the biggest video game, Fortnite, announced a new game mode: Food Fight, Wendy’s was the only brand that got in on the action by playing the game. Rather than just talking to this audience, we played with them. We live streamed the game as Wendy’s on Twitch rallying players to play with us, the first brand to play video games with their fans to thousands of live viewers. In a few hours, we became one of the top users (not just brands) on the platform.
