Unconscious bias prejudices 90% of people. Simple details on job application forms like name, sex and race can unconsciously affect the decision made, resulting in less diverse workplaces. Creative industry initiative UpUp created Kkaptionn: a bias-free recruitment tool to find talent based on talent alone, first used by D&AD to open up the creative world to people from all backgrounds. No application forms. No portfolios. Just a wordless comic book that applicants can fill out in any way they see fit, and by supplying just their phone number, recruiters judge only the creativity on display
