John Lewis, Buster The Boxer

In a departure from the annual tearjerker John Lewis’ 2016 Christmas film ‘Buster the Boxer’ takes the joyful emotional scale to new heights when a group of photo-real CG garden animals emerge from the undergrowth to jump and play on a CG trampoline. The attention to every detail of animation, fur, FX, compositing and colour grading in the film is extraordinary, pushing MPC’s team to their creative and technical limits – particularly with building a CG trampoline and simulating its movement based on the animals’ animation. The result is a film that truly sets the bar for FX and CGI animals.
