Your Year

Your Year took the most active Nike+ members' data and turned it into a personalised animated film that told the story of their 2014 and issued them a unique challenge for 2015. Through a partnership with animator and illustrator mcbess, thousands of custom animations were created to cover all possible data variables, which were dictated by each Nike+ member's location, weather, distance covered, minutes trained, NikeFuel points earned, best race time, and least active day. 100,000 unique 60-second films were produced and delivered to members' mobile devices. The animations were composited together in a custom cloud server that generated, in total, over 125 million frames of animation.
