Unbreakable Courts
Unbreakable Courts
Budweiser found a way to prevent basketball culture from being killed off by new building developments. The brand used the law to fight back by hacking the system with art. According to Brazilian law, a place of public interest with artistic value is considered public heritage and cannot be demolished. Budweiser launched created an open-source method that allows people to turn street basketball courts into cultural heritage sites. Anyone can register a street block via the hub and find an artist to create a piece of art for that specific court and ultimately protect it.
