Umbrella Species

At a time when it is hard to know where to start when faced with so many environmental initiatives, WWF France promotes the concept of "umbrella species". Still little known to the general public, this concept embodies a solution that is easy to grasp: by protecting one species, we can protect thousands. To popularize this concept, we created four families of (Russian) nesting dolls, illustrated by 4 well-known artists. The largest doll represents the umbrella species and the rest represent the species it protects.
