Turning Packaging into Education

Every week Colgate delivers thousands of cardboard boxes to rural areas of Myanmar, formerly Burma. By printing posters on the inside of the large cardboard boxes housing their familiar red toothpaste, Colgate identified an opportunity to distribute educational resources to impoverished communities. Y&R Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Yangon collaborated to design a series of informative posters in traditional Burmese illustration styles. The posters are supported with interactive lesson plans, to teach better oral care habits to the next generation of Burmese families.
