For much of the pandemic, in-store shopping was about peeking around corners and considerate use of trolleys. Yet Toyota’s well-calibrated film, directed by Saman Kesh, depicts a woman with the need for speed, as well as DIY consumables. As fellow shoppers hop to one side, the protagonist drifts around corners, tears along aisles and hits the brakes only when necessary. Even with her game face on, there's a childish, devil-may-care glee to proceedings that is hard to resist.
