This Is Footy Country

Telstra, Australia’s biggest mobile network, is also the biggest sponsor of football, or as we call it,‘footy’. To celebrate, and make a meaningful connection with fans around the country, we created “This Is Footy Country” a love letter to grassroots country footy. The film follows a footy club president rallying locals to fill in for their missing team. It’s made truly authentic by street casting from regional towns, dry Aussie humour and a blistering banjo cover of a 90’s cult club anthem, showing that Telstra not only understands the spirit of Aussie footy, but is actually a part of it.
