The Democracy Discount

The Democracy Discount fights right-wing populism with beer pricing. To celebrate their 10 years of inclusive, norm-breaking beers and initiatives, Berlin brewery BRLO decided to turn their anniversary into a statement. Ahead of the federal election - as the extremist party AfD were growing rapidly - BRLO sent a message to Germany: If you open your hearts, we’ll open our taps. The less votes for the close-minded party, the less people would pay for our beer. Political posters and posts took over streets and feeds, turning their slogans of hate into messages of love for openness (and beer).
