RISD Identity

An art and design education is never complete. Designers, artists, and scholars make the invisible visible through a constant, iterative dialogue with the materials and world around them. RISD has always attracted students who want to critically engage with culture and impact the future. Complete/Incomplete is the visual concept translated into a set of open, flexible tools for the RISD community to use and evolve, reflecting a dynamic process of learning, interrogating, making, critiquing, and starting again. The identity framework unifies all parts of the school without imposing uniformity.
