triple j ‘Rejenerated’ uses the radio station’s ever-changing sounds to create an ever-changing typography. A custom typeface with six variables—Slant, Width, Weight, Displacement, Grad, and YOPQ—was linked to musical traits such as BPM, Pitch, Dynamics, Key, Genre, and Rhythm. A responsive algorithm adapted the type to reflect audio input, creating unique, sound-driven typographic logos for the station and shows. As part of a major rebrand, it ensures triple j stays fresh, fluid, and always in sync with gen-z, gen-alpha or gen-whatever-the-hell-comes-next.
