Met Hotel

A new hotel concept in Amsterdam’s West district required a name to stand out in a hospitality landscape full of bland global brands. The Stone Twins created the name ‘Met’ in order to connect with the local community. In English, met is the abbreviation for metropolitan. However, in Dutch met means ‘with’. The brand name comes alive in everyday Dutch expressions such as ‘Met Plezier’ (with pleasure) or ‘Met Complimenten’ (with compliments). The dual meaning connects with locals and international travellers, and adds to the authentic local charm of the hotel.
