Manekineko Tokyo

This is the logo and visual identity for MANEKINEKO TOKYO, a souvenir shop specialising in traditional Japanese maneki-neko. We created assets that reflect the shop's commitment to continuing the 150-year-old Takasaki Maneki-neko manufacturing tradition, while offering contemporary interpretations of maneki-neko designs. The logo transforms the kanji characters of the shop name into two maneki-neko figures. The tools and visuals were designed around the cultural background of maneki-neko, incorporating mixed Japanese and English typography to promote Japanese culture worldwide.
